As a Parisienne, I had to show a very Parisian and cliché salon de thé: Carette.
In Paris, there are two Carette. One Place des Vosges, in the famous quartier Le Marais, a lovely small terrasse under the arcades. And other one Place du Trocadéro (the original one, with a view on la Tour Eiffel though!), small and pleasant terrasse under the sun – if it deigns to show up!
This refined café offers you any kind of teas, hot and cold drinks, scrumptious pastries (I recommend marcarons!!), and tasty brunch!
Small point: you should come over early (like before breakfast), avoid weekends, and sunny afternoons (like tea time)! Well, just so you know, it’s very difficult to find seats, but a must in town!
Here are the very yummy hot chocolate with crème fouettée, scrambled eggs, and thé à la rose.
Next time in Paris, this is a place to be!
